Want to cancel a friend request you sent on Facebook? This guide will show you how to do it.Once you have logged in to Facebook, go to the profile of the user to whom you sent a friend request. You can use the search box at the top of the screen in order to do it.
Once in this user’s profile, near the top right hand corner of the screen, you will see a button that that says, “Friend Request Sent,” which indicates that the request is still pending. Place the pointer of your mouse over that button, and in the appearing menu, select the option “Cancel Request.”
Facebook will ask you to confirm the action. Just click on the "Confirm" button and the friend request will be removed.
To check that this really worked you can see the user's profile again, where you will be able to notice that the message saying “Friend Request Sent” is no longer there.
